INF VERB = the infinitive of the verb.  The verb SOMA to read has as infinitive HUSOMA.

VS =  the verb stem.   In HUSOMA, the stem is SOM;   HULA (L); HUKAKA (KAK): HUNYAWA (NYAW), so the steł is the verb without the last vowel.

VERB= means the infinitive form without the HU as in SOMA.
